Southeastern Conference (SEC) football crew suspended.  This ESPN article described the 2 missed calls that lead to the suspension of the crew.  But the real message here is that the whole crew is responsible for it's actions.  As we get into the second half of our season, we need to continue to work together as crews and support each other on the field by making sure the calls we make are "there" and are right.

10/19/2009 - There is a great article about the value of an evaluation and how to receive it.  The NHFOA prides itself on having one of the most professional and highly skilled associations in the state.  This is in large part due to the efforts of our better officiating committee and observers.  We have access to some of the best officals in NHFOA history and when they talk, we should listen.  On referee.com"Sit Down, Shut Up, Listen: Evaluation Commands Official's Attention, Respect" discusses how important and useful an evaluation can be if taken the right way.

10/19/2009 - This year there has been an emphasis put on player safety especially proper equipment and illegal personal contact.  "Safety should always come first on the football field - and that holds true for 'officials' as well".  "'Full-Field Vision' Keeps Officials Safe" from USA Football explores some of the dangers of officiating and some things we can all do better to prepare.
